Well after many months of waiting there seems to be now a rumor floating around of the first titles that will be available in terms of Xbox backwards compabitbility, and one of them is Ninja Gaiden Black - a fan favorite that has been begging to be played! Could this also mean a Ninja Gaiden 2 and 3 on the Xbox One as backwards compatibility if the first game is one the list ?!
After the announcement back at E3 2017, it seems Microsoft is really true to their word, and will be adding original Xbox games to their backwards compatability. However as of yet not much has been known about them, but a new image has been reposted on Reddit showing what might be the first batch of Xbox Original games to be entered into the system.
It seems we will be getting the following games:
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time
Dead to Rights
Fuzion Frenzy
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Crimson Skies
Psychonauts
Bloodrayne
Red Faction 2
The King of Fighters
Pirates!
Grabbed by the Ghoulies
While this is not much, Phil Spencer did comment that it will be harder to make these old games backwards compatible due to companies not existing anymore, and other legal issues. Still this is a great start into an already robust service for Microsoft.
Also hoping this will lead to Ninja Gaiden 2 and 3 being backwards compatible in the long run.
